Case Study - East of England Observatory
The East of England Observatory web site
is run by the East of England Development Agency (EEDA) to provide organisations with an information gateway to the
East of England region.
The site was developed by Hyperspheric Solutions Ltd during 2003 to meet government standards for
metadata and interoperability (e-GMS,
e-GIF, GCL etc).
The site features knowledge management and resource management facilities as well as powerful
tools for site managers. Interoperability in the form of federated searching is also available.
Focussed Views
Several "focussed views" of the resources held in the East of England Observatory web site have been developed. These limit the resources returned to those related to a specific geographical area.
